Certificate in General Dentistry (CGD)

This one-year course intends to train dentists to provide cost effective quality care appropriate to each patient. This is a competency building program for dental graduates to equip them with essential skills required for their practice.


Who is it for?

Open to Indian citizens only. All candidates must possess a valid BDS or equivalent degree and a valid DCI registration. A maximum of 16 candidates are admitted per year.


What is the course duration?

The duration of the course is one year. The first six months of the course involves hands-on training at CMC, Vellore. followed by six months of training in a rural mission hospital.


How much does the course cost?

Rs 40,000 (Forty Thousand Indian Rupees)

When does the course begin?

January and June of each year.
